Home improvement grants for people on a low-income
As the funding is a grant, not a loan, it doesn’t need to be repaid and could cover a large part - if not all - of the cost of improving your home.
Who is eligible?
The funding is available if a member of your household receives a qualifying benefit. It is also available if you meet your local authority's 'Help to Heat' criteria. So if you don't claim benefits but you have high fuel costs, if you are older than 65, pregnant, have young children or if you have a health condition it is worth applying as you might be eligible through local authority funding rules.

All major Energy Companies are obliged by the UK Government to fund these measures. They are being offered to low-income households as often they are most vulnerable.
